I’m so
glad you’re checking out my webpage – thanks for your interest
in my project and my ministry. These last two years have been
incredible as I’ve watched God remind me of a calling on my life
– and boldly bring it to fruition.
In October of 2004, I knelt down at a Beth Moore Bible Study at
my home church and promised God that I would have no more
opinions about what my life should be about. My call, my future,
and my choices were now in his hands alone. I knew the first
step of obedience was to begin planning to record the CD I had
avoided for almost a decade. Running from a call is a waste of
time – and I was sick of it! I lined up a hometown studio. I
also assembled a team of Prayer Warriors to pray for my
obedience. I was in recovery from ten years of disobedience in
this area of my ministry. I needed all the help I could get!
Within months, I was driving the church van home from Nashville
after Passion ’05. We made a stop at Chick-fil-A in Franklin,
Tennessee and filled up on chicken nuggets and waffle fries. On
my way out the door, I decided to go back and, of course, refill
my sweet tea! At the counter that day, I happened to meet a man
named Jeff Nelson, who would soon be a dear friend, and my first
producer.
Many months later, we recorded the project in Franklin, TN. We
watched as God himself brought the resources. He brought amazing
musicians - Dave Cleveland, Steve Brewster, Craig Nelson, Jason
Webb, Max Dyer, David Davidson, Drew Cline, Michael Mellet,
Debbie Patterson, Steve Dady, and Don Marsh. And he miraculously
brought all the financial resources we needed to pay them! Each
time I packed my car for Tennessee, I had just enough funding to
complete the scheduled sessions. Just enough – and not a moment
too soon.
I’ve never seen a project come together like this one - like a
baby that was ready
to be born. It was evident that each step was preceded by God’s
presence.
I can’t wait to see the things what He has in store next!
Please let me know how He ministers to you as you hear this
project.
Creating it was a thrill – but the ministry begins when you
listen…
